Magic Knight Rayearth is the story of three ordinary-ish Japanese school girls with not so ordinary hair color who get transported from the safe (if apparently somewhat "lame") Tokyo tower to the freakish world of Cephiro where they completely and utterly ruin my entire life.

Life was good in the palace, the princess was never threatened, for who would want to threaten the stability of the world? Only a fool, and fools aren't worth my time. So my life as guardian was relatively calm and peaceful.

Princess Emeraude was never very happy though, her beautiful face was always so sad. When I saw her growing fond of her own high priest, in fact so fond that she gave me to him (me a gift hmmph, well...), I thought maybe it would finally make her happy. However she only seemed to grow more despondent. I believe Lord Zagato knew what she intended...but I'm not sure if he knew how it would end. The Princess summoned the Magic Knights, the ones spoken of in the legends.

Lord Zagoto took the Princess and sealed her away, maybe...maybe it was all just to cover her inability to pray. I do not know, it is not my place to question.

To protect the Princess from the Magic Knights, Lord Zagato gathered those skilled in magic to him. I too wished to serve and fight for the two people who mattered most to me, so I asked to be changed from a beastly form to one closer to human. My wish was granted and I became Zagato's most trusted servant, the only one who knew of his love for the Princess. He let the others believe they were fighting for power and glory but I knew the real reason. Perhaps that is why the others proved useless...but it is not my place to question.

One by one our minions were defeated, some even dared join the enemy, those fools! Finally I found it necessary to interfere myself. Since the Magic Knights have to be strong in heart I decided to hit them there. I altered my form to more closely resemble the female humans and decided to *ahem* work my wiles on the short weakling boy who follows the Magic Knights like a sick puppy. None of them saw through my deception and I managed to drug the boy and sow seeds of jealousy and doubt into the heart of the little green Knight. After trapping and revealing myself to the weakling I left to prevent the Knights from reviving the Rune God that waited on the floating mountain. I easily overpowered her by myself and sought to show the Rune God how weak her heart was, a weak heart attached to a weakling. I underestimated her however, she revived the Rune God and I was forced to retreat.

The princess grows less happy with each passing day, I do not know whether she wishes for us to fail or to succeed, I do not know. She helps the magic Knights but she does not wish harm to befall Zagato, but does she not know he will fight to the death for her? As shall I...

As I did...

I finally convinced Lord Zagato to return me to my original form, with my power returned to me I was easily able to overpower the Magic Knights, however the Princess revealed my weakness...I shall try not to feel betrayed...I died the most noble death of all defending those I love the most. Perhaps my death shall have meaning...perhaps...
