There aren't too many specifics concerning Inouva, and he has had no vivid past drawn out for him like most anime characters. I can't tell you his height, weight, blood type, or even how old he is (though for some reason I'd imagine he might be up there with Midoshi Clef, since he is also an arcane being) unfortunately, and heck, if you can tell me, please, share! All I can tell you is that Inouva was only created by CLAMP for the anime series; he is not in the manga at all. He doesn't even get a role in the OVA, which has a storyline completely different from any of the other MKR plots. Sad, too, considering I think he would have been so cool in it, given what he really is and how those creatures were used in the OVA. Not fair, not fair! *sob*

Inouva, as much as he looks like an elf in appearance, is actually a seijyu, which means spirit beast. In his true form, he looks like a large wolf. The characteristics both his shapes share are the almond-shaped, yellow eyes, large ears, the white hair (which, as the wolf, resembles thick cat whiskers) and the amethyst-violet gem in the center of the forehead.

In his true form, Inouva is extremely powerful, his magic based on his elemental property. He is pure white energy, and can inflict great damage to an opponent with lightning. Electrical storms are periods of intense energy, from the perspective of Natural Magic, and it's believed that any spell cast during storms will be empowered by them. They could also prove to be more effective, and lightning storms are ideal for protection (sound familiar) rituals. Which could be one theory behind Inouva's strength while a seijyu.

I might also add that there seem to be a few ways to spell his name, such as Inouba or the more popular Innova. I'm not quite sure which is the correct spelling, the one CLAMP intended, but I prefer to use Inouva, the one written out in the subtitles. Why? Well, because it is the one the subtitlers used, and they're professionals after all. But also because, well... when I ran a search using Innova, nothing regarding MKR came up. Instead, I got a long listing of funky products. Did you know Innova is a well-known logo of kitchenware, filtered water, a brand of kayaks and also a big name among the flying disc (also called disc golf) sport. I kidd you not. But when I ran a search using the spelling Inouva, MKR sites were brought to my attention. Odd, isn't it? o_O
