Donating blood is cool

The Price of Blood
Date: January 8th, 2005
Mood: Recovering Big butt girls: for the future!
Well today was blood donation day. At 1 I had an appointment. Last night William insisted on setting the alarm even though my natural body rythms wake me up well before that. He wanted to make sure sure sure that he woke up in time to eat lunch. Fine.

I woke up around 10:00 with the alarm set to go off in 45 minutes. Fine. I got out of bed, debated shutting the door so that he couldn't hear the noise, decided that he should probably sleep light if he was getting up soon, and made breakfast. I made an egg, toast, and yogurt. That's a frying pan, a toaster, and a fridge all banging and clattering.

I went into the office and turned on my monitor to read news. I hear the alarm go off, the boy get up, go to the GUEST BATHROOM which is behind me, and shamble his way back to bed.

Okay, this is normal, darling usually sets his alarm to go off in 15 minutes increments for about an hour before he gets up. I continue to read my news and go to take a shower around 11:40.

And the boy is freaked out and disoriented because he:
apparently didn't remember hearing the alarm
or shutting it off
or register me getting out of bed
or notice the kitchen light was on
or SEE me sitting here having breakfast
did not notice me not in bed when he returned from bathroom land.

Right.

Boys are weird.

Sun Dogged
Date: January 6th, 2005
Mood: Uh huh. I'm being facetious, in case you can't tell. "You're either being facetious or an ass. Either one. Doesn't matter." That's true.
So, it stopped raining today long enough for me to go do my errands. I managed to pick up the infamous wedding photos from the developers. They turned out pretty good. Man my William is handsome in a white suit, oh yes he is. I must buy him a tuxedo so he can prance for me.

Oh yes.

Uhm...otherwise I went ahead and got a stupid livejournal. It sucks it doesn't even have topic categorizing of entries which is why I'm itching to be switching.

On the plus side, the communities are kinda cool. I mean, they got a blood donor community, how nifty is that?

So hopefully it'll dry out now and I can stop being so wet and cold. I miss warm toes. I always lose my socks somewhere.

I suppose I should stop making so many entries about how much I hate the weather. Uhm...there were sun dogs out today. Since William had no clue what those are, I should probably do a quick definition. Sun dogs are what we called the little white or rainbow spots that appear on either side of the sun on cold days. There was on at the top too, hinting at a complete but unseen arc, so maybe they weren't but they looked close enough to make me think it.

Of course that means it's FREAKIN COLD.

Yes, I am a wimp. Thank you.

'Night everybody.

When it rains....
Date: January 4th, 2005
Mood: Rained on but snow is all cool and white and stuff. "So's my ass."
So it's raining.

And it's been raining for quite a while.

It's going to keep raining for a week, according to weather.com.

I hate the rain, it's cold and wet and it's gray. Everything is wet and puddley and the rivers are all flooding. The roof is leaking, again. The guy never did fix it during the dry season.

On the bright side I got a haircut that I like. It's all bouncy and shortish again. I like getting new haircuts. Well, it's actually pretty much the haircut I always get but with the sides blended into my bangs and all wispy and stuff.

I'm on the hunt for a new blog system. Actually I'm on the hunt for an entire redo of the webpage system. I don't mind updating stuff, but I'm bored with my current format and I need to get something new. I also need, desperately, to get off tripod. It's too limiting, I want to get on my ASU website but they don't allow you to do some things that I'd like to do. Well, actually I'm not sure what they do and don't allow at the moment. I need to do some more research, but in actuality I'm kinda tired of doing the web building thing. I'd much rather get content based, but I'd like to get the layout set before I start adding different content. And I'm too darn lazy for that. I probably should just get a livejournal, but I kinda like being separate. I shall have to see.

And my haircut is cool.

Later.
